I AGREE WITH THE GENTLEMAN WHO SAID ITS A LEROI ENGINE. I WAS AT AN AUCTION 2 YRS. AGO AND THEY HAD A WD WITH A LEROI ENGINE IN IT. IT HAD A TAG ON THE BLOCK WITH THE LEROI NAME AND ADDRESS ON IT

John. That is for sure the leroi motor. I have 3 or 4 of them. They look just like allis. All the parts from allis will interchange with the leroi. If you need any more info email me. Thanks Tractor Rod

That's interesting about Leroi engines being the same as ACs. Do you know anything about how this came to be. Did AC build them for Leroi? or sell them the rights to thier engien, or was it the other way around? Maybe AC bought Leroi? They had a way of doing that when they wanted sometning, they bought the company. Would be interesting, I haven't ever heard anything about this or the engines being nearly the same.

I can't tell but my guess would be maybe off of a 100 combine. Filter, carb, manifold are not tractor.

Well I am not going to help you, all I can do is add to the mystery. From looking at your right side picture I will say the oil filter and oil lines look different, and the distrubutor drive is in two parts. I mean the casting between the distributor and engine. My parts book shows this as one piece, with the distributor plugging down into it. What your picture shows looks like a magneto drive with a distributor drive bolted onto it. Don't see anything like that in the WD- WD-45 parts book. This book lists parts for the power units too and I don't see anything like the exhaust manifold there. Don't know what you have, but would be interested to know if you can figure it out.

I have seen a lot of WD's but don't recognize that one. Sandy Lake Implement can probably tell you. E-mail info@sandylakeimp.com Never saw one with the oil filter on the dist side or a manifold like that. Probably an engine from one of the AC implements.
