I'm restoring an early '38 B model. SN 4117

The brakes are the original hand brakes and I have all the parts. Trouble is, I will be using this tractor for parades and hay rides. Safety is a real concern with steering brakes so I want to retro-fit foot brakes from a later B model. I have all the original AC foot brake mechanics from a later B model.

Would I get dinged too bad at a show for the foot brakes?

You may want to reconsider, take her out to the back 40, or parking lot and practice, I feel just as safe with the hand brakes on the AC's as the foot type. It is important to get used to them, I would like a set for my C. Be sure to never throw the original parts or sell them. Good luck Dave.
