Did some harrowing yesterday with our diesel D-15. Temp went from 140 to 190 when under load. Is this normal? Thanks.

The D-15 is a bit marginal in cooling capacity and the radiator must be keep real clean. On hot days under a load ours would run close to the red area on the factory gauge. Not sure what temp that was but it never had any ill effects from it that I know of

Thanks, fellas. I've since noticed the front of the radiator could stand a good cleaning. Gotta get an operator's manual.
