my tractor has CA stiker on the front of it the s/n is clear except one{letter or /} between the C and the first number C ? 7985 front is a narrow with 500-15 5 lug bolt the rear are12.4-28 with a 6 lug bolts and are not power adjust rims this tractor has a 4 speed trany and revers 4 cylinder not sure if it was upgraded to a 12volt system any info will be of grate help

CA 7985 would be a 1952 i believe. the CA is a 4 speed, the C is a three speed. Both have normal 24 inch rear rims. The 28 would make it a cane or high crop style tractor. The 24 on the CA is spin out rims, maybe the 28 are not. CA should have a sheetmetal "floor" below the seat that covers the transmission back half and the pto housing, the C does not have this. The CA has a pan seat. the C was a bench wood seat on an angle frame. you would see evidence of the frame on a C even if the seat was changed. The CA probably has a two point lift with two hydraulic lift arms just under the steel floor. The C probalby does not have this. CA might have a power director (box) under the transmission case, the C does not. C probably has a drawbar system, the CA might have more of a "lift" system. Both have the PTO shaft. CA would be a distributor system, the C is probably a magnito. Anything could have changed in 50 years, but this will give you a good idea of what it was in the beginning.
