there are some steps u do have to follow in instalation,,,,,step one, find index finger of right hand. step two, dip aforementioned finger of right hand into a clean quart of oil, step three, wipe oil from aforementioned index finger of right hand onto rubber gasket. step four, install. how may i know this u might ask? a good mechanic always keeps one clean finger for his wife.

I've been using AC C=412 in my B for years with no problem. They are a little pricey about a $9.00 from the only auto parts store that carry them. NAPA does't. What do you think.

Wix/Napa filters have been changed. New filters are NO GOOD!!! You will have little, or no oil pressure. Oil free flows through filter, back pressure is needed in a bypass system at filter, or all oil goes through filter with none going to engine top end. Agco filters have proper back pressure, and cost half as much. Some people say Baldwin, and fleetguard filters are good to, but Agco filters are sure thing.

As I understand it, that oil pressure reading is only the pressure at the filter anyway. Considering that this filter arrangement is only a bypass anyway, lots of dirty oil will get past. My thoughts are that it just doesn't matter if you are using a lower quality filter here - if you are only using the tractor more for parade duty and shows. Just change the oil more often.

Ian, A Napa 1101 or Wix 51101 are the same filter. Wix make's em' for Napa. Just put a 5 in front of the Napa number, and it's a Wix. The Fram equivelent is a C159. Hope this helps....

Go to your nearest AGCO dealer and get oil filter #70240912. THat will be the correct engine oil filter for your B.
