I need a good photo (or book) for proper paint or any paint information.(especially wheels) Proper decal color and form for 1946 (are they black? blue? extended letters?) Guages marked with A/C emblems. Any other help would be appreciated!!!!! I do not like doing things twice! Anyone with hard to find NOS parts??

Many Thanks!

Paint color is Persian Orange. Most folks now refer to it as Persian Orange #1 as the color was changed in 1960 to Persian Orange #2. These color numbers can be cross referenced by a good paint dealer: Ditzler PPG Now called Del Star DAR60080; Martin-Senour 99L3723; Martin-Senour 90R-3723; TISCO TP280; Dupont DULUX 008DH; Dupont 008 OR; Dupont YS074; PPG OMNI MAE60080; PPG MTK60080; PPG MBC60080. These cover several different types of paints, but can be cross referenced to currently available paint.
For decals, Lyle Wacker is the way to go. His decal sets are complete and accurate for the model/year of your tractor. Have your serial number handy when you contact him. Lyle Wacker Rt. 2 Box 87

the color is called Pursian Orange #1. you can go to local auto apint store, or body shop and ask them. Use a good brand automotive paint. The wheel hubs front and rear are also orange. The front rims are orange and the rear were galvanized in the beginning. MOst paint them aluminum now. For decals, get the address for Lyal Wacker. Just give him the year and model and you will get exact replacements. There are plent of photos on the Tractor Photo page under GALLERIES to the left of this page. I will also e-mail you a couple good photos. Some posted pictures will show white or aluminum front wheels, looknice, but not correct.
