C Seat Back

Could someone describe what the back of the seat on a 1947 C should look like. Mine has a series of pop rivets around the outer edge that appear to have fastened a piece of fabric to the metal backing many many years ago. Is this the way it's supposed to be? The pictures that I have seen show either a solid metal back painted orange or a big black foam block. I can fill the holes with JB Weld and paint orange or try to use a piece of foam covered with vinyl or leather. Any thoughts?

Rob, the seat back is solid, no holes except for the four mounting holes. several places sell them new. Reasonable.

Any sources for the complete seat back including the risers? I have had no luck in finding this set up - everyone appears to have removed them to make access from the rear easier.

I was at Myers-Ward in Riverdale yesterday. They have several B tractors, some with seats. Riverdale, California.
