What's a 1963 D15 worth and what should I look for?

I'm looking at a 1963 D15 that a tractor dealer has for sale. It was just repainted. They even reinstalled the decals. It also has 4 new tires. It has a 3 point conversion. The dealer gave me the previous owners name and number. He (the previous owner) said the only thing he thought might be wrong is the clutch needs adjustment. What is it worth and what should I look for as far as possible problems?

Around the Kansas City area your looking at from 3000.00 to 3700.00 as a rule if they are much cheaper than that there is probably somthing wrong. Main thing is the trans. and power diverter, if they don't work right that can cost a lot.

It's hard to say what it's worth without a good going over. Check the power director or shuttle clutch too.
I have the industrial model that has the shuttle clutch. If it was stored outside, look at the exhaust manifold for rust through. If it runs it will tell you a lot of secrets, just by how it responds to load etc. Make sure it doesn't pop out of third, if it does, it will not be worth as much. What part of the country also has a bearing on value too. Good luck with whatever you decide.
