Hello,

I recently purchased two AC All Crop 60 Harvesters. They are in good-original condition with only the canvas missing as far as I have been able to detect. I am planning on doing full restorations on both for use on my museum/working antique farm and to pull behind our restored antique tractors in parades. Before I begin working on them later this Spring, is there anything important that I should know? I have purchased both an original operators and parts manual for them. I am merely wondering if anyone out there knows anything from their previous experience that could save me some headaches later on. Thank you.

Yes, There is one thing you need to do right now, start looking for canvas if you expect to buy it for working man's money. Around here most used is both cheap and junk but sometimes you run into expensive and junk. Seems the best way to buy it is in the form of another All-Crop with canvas on it, usually between $50 and $150. New is availible at $800 per set from Spencer Canvas

If they have sat outside a lot, check the sheet metal in the bottom of the cylinder. It is a very tough job to fix but if it needs it, this should be done first. Also, look for rust in the bottom of the grain tank and elevators.

I envy you. I'd love to have one but am going to stick to the stable of tractors for now.
