My low range on the power director does not engauge. It snaps in place but the power is not delivered to the wheels.
The PTO will not work as well.
The handle moves into position but no rotation.
This happened after loaning the tractor to a friend.
Please give opinions or knowledge on what is the problem.
Does the tractor have to be split to fix the problem?
Where are the parts available from?
Thanks J Cook

Joe, I see this is your second entry with no response so I suspect you are getting a bit anxious (with good cause). The low range on the power director is not related to the PTO. I will look through my manuals tonight to see if there is a reason for the low range issue. It could be that the "friend" burned out the low range clutch (never heard of this but I suppose it is possible). And I will look at the PTO drive train. What did your "friend" to it? Does the pto lever movement seem normal?
