TOH- the serial numbers started in 1959 with 1001, so you have the third tractor built. That would make it worth a few extra bucks. In general a decent D10 will get $3000. Very nice with new paint will get up to $4500. You take it from there. If the rear tires are "big" and it is a factory cane tractor (some call it high-crop), then you have a keeper. If the rear rims rotted out and somebody just retrofitted wheels off another tractor, then the price would drop below average. Is the front end have a high axle, or is the front end set lower than the back? Allis made about 8500 of these tractors over 10 years. They had imporvements over the "B" and "C" and quite a few people collect them now.

The front end sets as high as the rear. It is a one owner tractor that is in original condition. They still use it on the farm. Why would the serial number be 1003and the block has a 1004s on it? Do you know if serial number 1and 2 is still around?

I have been restoring old Farm Tractors for the past 6 years, and have found it easier and less expensive to hit all the auctions and purchase whole tractors for parts needed. My wife who works at a local school, and only has weekends and summers off, while on t ... [Read Article]
