Hello, I have a K4B3 Fairbanks-Morse magneto. What tractors could these be found on? I knew Fairbanks-Morse was a popular brand for AC tractors. Any information including value of the mag would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Luke

Luke, I'm not sure what model might have used the "K" series Fairbanks mag, but the F/M number is for an AC machine. The "K" is the series of mag, the 4 means it's for a 4 cylinder engine, the "B" means it's a flange mount, and the "3" is the customer # which the customer or "user" was Allis Chalmers. Maybe someone can identify which model the "K" series was used in... Steve B.

I just put one on my just-restored 1940 AC B and it works really well - big blue spark etc. Had a heck of time timing it, until I realized I had it firing on the exhaust stroke, not the compression stroke. My tractor is smarter, and older than I am! David
