I own a WC and it runs an original magneto. The rear hubs are solid cast iron. I pull with my WC and it is original and I run 13-6-28 tires on mine.

I grew up in an AC family C, WC, WD,and WD45.
Our C ,WC and WD were magneto, the WD 45 had a distbutor.
We still have the WD I restored and the 45 we work.

I think that some late 1947 WC's were delivered with distribor ignition. I have one with distributor ignition and it is definitely diferent than the distributor on my WD though it would retrofit either way.

All the WC tractors had magnetos, WD45 had battery ignition with coil and distributor. I believe WD started with mags, maybe last year or two they might have had battery ignition.

Rod,
According to the data book I use on occasions, it states the WC was equipped with a mag only. The mag was a Fairbanks/Morse FMJ4B3 or FMJ4B3A. It does mention about an optional 40X2 skeleton style rear wheels, but not sure if these are the spoke wheels that they refer to. Maybe someone else can shed a little more info there....

Spoked wheels were used for a few years on unstyled tractors I think, they were 24". then they went to 28" wheels, steel rims with a cast wheel. I believe the skeleton wheel was the steel wheel with lugs, that is not a pneumatic tire. These were available too.
