Hi I just got what i beleve is a 1945 AC WD a few weeks ago and I just got a I&T shop manual for it but im having trouble figuering out the oils in it the book says the trans & dif take 17 qts but of what? and what does the hyd pump run on? is it 30 wt like my H or is it hytran? im kinda confused with this book any and all help would be great.....thanks sHan

I have a allis wd that gets worked almost every day. I run 10w in the winter & 30w in the summer for the hyd,and 80w90 in the trany/diff case. and also 80w90 in the final drives.

The WD shift lever is up and down WD45 is curved back.

First WD's were made in 1948. Do you have a WC (hand brakes) or a WD?

its a wd not sure on the age i thought they sead it was a 45 must of been a mistake has foot brakes thanks sHan

We have always used 10-40 engine oil in our WD-45's Hydrolics... I'm sure the differential uses 140 wt, the Final drives use 140 wt. I am not positive about the transmission.....wheather it is 90 wt, or 140 wt...Hope this helps, some...

the book ive got shows the trans and diff as 1 for the fluid but it dont say what to use. it says 17 qts. so im guessing that they are connected together thanks for the help..

HYDRO MUST HAVE NON FOAMING OIL - NON DETERGENT 10 OR 20 OR BEST OF ALL USE HYDRO TRANS OIL. THE TRANS AND REAR USE 80-90 SAE LUBE AS DO THE FINAL DRIVES. HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN WITH YOUR WD.
