I was at the understanding that there was a difference the B and C because of the steering rod location on one or the other. Charles Felger from Iowa has a set on his B and he was showing me the difference this summer. They are real close but one has an area cut out of the weight for this reason. Dave.

This could be true as I have never tried my weights on a B.

Hi Eldon,

I can't vouch for the C weights but David is correct for those for the B. The left side B weight is different than the right side. It has some material removed from the lower rear portion on an angle to provide clearance with the different steering linkage on the B. If you look carefully you can see that angle in this photo of my B.

I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
