I have a Model CA wide front with a snap-coupler blade which I use to plow snow. I can raise the blade but it will not go down. At first it would lower slowly which I thought may be due to the cold temperature of the oil. After half an hour or so it would not lower at all. One cylinder appears to be working ok. The other didn't want to close when I lowered the blade. I removed that cylinder and the ram works freely?? Could it be something else in the hydraulic system which may be the source of the problem? Thank you in advance for any thoughts and comments you may have.

Could be the hose - sometimes the inside of a hose will collapse uner one direction of flow but nor another. The raise flow direction is also under considerable pressure - more so than the lower flow direction.

Could also be a valve problem in the hydraulics/hydraulic pump, including trash, a bit of hose, or a stuck valve. If one cylinder works finae and the other one diesn't I'd suspect a hose or hose attachment point problem, though.

Thank you for the information. I did not think about the hoses as a possibility but I will replace them to be sure.
