Craig, ther are tow basic sizes of tractors built before 1960. THE small tractors are the "B","C", "CA". These have no main frame. THe motor and transmission are connected by a turque tube, or what looks like a cast steel pipe. The bigger tractors would start with the WC, WD, then the WD45. These tractors have a main frame like a 6 inch c-channel that runs down the side of the motor and connects up at the radiator and back at the rear axle. The serial number from these is on the rear axle, the WC by the center pumpken, the later series by the left brake cover. After 1960 the next several years would be the D series, and they have serial number on the boss behind the engine at the left rear corner, cluthc cover area. I will send you e-mail of a couple tractors so you get the idea. Small tractors were about 20 HP, the bigger went from 30-45 HP. If you have something made in the 1980 era, the tractor is probably a Deutz or AGCO type unit, that is a different problem.

you left no e-mail address. you can also look at the left of thei page, under "gallery", then "photos", then type in "allis", then look at a couple WD or 45, then compare to a C or B.

Hello, it depend son what tractor but look by the stickshift first if it is a smaller one it should be there. It should say tractor no c55543 etc. Well if it says C then it is an allis c if it says wd it is a wd etc. If it is not there look on the block it should be in that area somewhere. Same goes for the letters. The rest of the numbers are the serial #'s and if you look them up on this page it will tell u what ur it was made.

Good LUck!
