Hello Folks,

Finally got it drug home! It'll need a bit of work (like all of my stuff) but I got it running and into the shed for a little TLC.

I did'nt know what it was when I posted on "Help Identify"...but I do now. I was looking at another tractor that the man had (1937 Cletrac) and he asked me if I might be interested in an Allis loader. (I thought he might have been talking about a standard Freeman type.) He walked me down the hill and there sat the Tractomotive... Which I had never seen or heard of one before. I previously saw a few "turned around" WD's but nothing like this. Got him to throw it in with the Cletrac deal.

Not sure I want to part with it but I might be open to the right offer. If Swinfords book is correct there were only 150 of these made on an Allis WF frame.

Steve

By the way...does anyone have or know someone who has one of these or knows a bit about them? A pic of a restored model or original would be great. The only information I have found is a mention in Norm Swinfords "Allis Farm Tractor Guide" and a few posts in the archives. I don't have any books on Allis construction machinery...If anyone out there does please tell me if there is anything on the Tractomotive TlW's so I can purchase the book. I want to do as much research as I can on the Tractomotive company.

I guess the only real question I have right now is what is the original color? This tractor has had a few bad paint jobs but there is definitly orange at or near the base coat.

Thanks,

Steve
