I have searched the major used parts distributors and even most of the companies that make remanufactured parts and have had no luck locating a new or used gas tank. The old one has rust pits around the mounting bracket and rust has has gotten into the inside of the tank. Any suggestions??

Mark,
If you have a good radiator man near you, sometimes they specialize in fuel tank repairs. If the tank is borderline, you may be able to have it repaired. I had my B tank done by my radiator man and he did a fabulous job on it. He put a special coating inside the tank to reseal it up. So far, so good. Mine was "peppered" on the bottom where it sits on the support, and had some scale in it. If it's real bad though, probably better to replace it.... Steve B.

I can not remember who it is but somebody is reproduceing those tanks. I have seen some at the tractor shows this summer. You might try Norm Steinman his no. is574-342-4545 if he does not have them he might know who does. Good luck.
