Does anyone know the original size tires on the D series? D10, D12, D14, D15, D17 and D19?

Could help settle a long arguement.

I doubt the argument can be settled. Allis would deliver these tractors with more than one size tires. You can get the most common sizes from an IT manual. You can get the size used for the Nebraska tests usually in Norm Swifford's book. If you actually have the test, even the weight distribution is shown. I have the book. If you email me, I'll look up these tractors for you.

Got this info from Norm Swinford's big book--I'd say he oughta know. These sizes were listed for specific Nebraska tests. For the D-10 there was another Nebraska test in which the rears were 11-24.

D-10: 5-15 Front, 10-24 Rear

D-12: 5-15 Front, 11-24 Rear

D-14: 5 1/2-16 Front, 12-26 Rear

D-15: 6-16 Front, 14.9-26 Rear

D-17: 6-16 Front, 14-28 Rear

D-19: 7 1/2-16 Front, 18.4-34 Rear

OK, Kevin, give me the title and ISBN number on that book - I may have it but if I don't I'm sure going to!

Today's Featured Article - Upgrading an Oliver Super 55 Electrical System - by Dennis Hawkins. My old Oliver Super 55 has been just sitting and rusting for several years now. I really hate to see a good tractor being treated that way, but not being able to start it without a 30 minute point filing ritual every time contributed to its demise. If it would just start when I turn the key, then I would use it more often. In addition to a bad case of old age, most of the tractor's original electrical system was simply too unreliable to keep. The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr ... [Read Article]
