Power steering leak

The power steering oil leaks out between the front wheels.Is this something that is easy to fix by removing the front end and replacing a seal, or is it more involved. By the way it is a D 17 tri cycle front end. Any help is appreciated, ken.

sounds like a seal to me. drop the front end down by removing the bolts [ 6 i think ] in the top flange of the front pedistal [ make sure the wheels are streight before you start ]. then drop the mud shield down be sure to leave the bolts not going through the shield in the housing to hold the seal and steer gear housing together.CAREFULLY take the rest of the bolts out, this will loosen the steering shaft and may let it fall. watch close to be sure to get all shims and steering shaft back in the same place [ if you don't it will turn tighter one way or the other. now you can replace the seal and put it back together. if you need any help let me know or pick up an I&T manual . hope this helps. david l wilson
