Hello,
I am a farmall enthusiast but I love all old tractors. I found an allis chalmers B that I can pick up. It runs, magneto and all original. The serial is B3375, that makes it 1939. Is this collectable being it is so early?

Prices can be all over the place. I gave $800 for a '39 B that had poor rubber but ran great and had new paint. I gave $300 for a '54 B with adjustable wide front, complete but not running. I saw a '54 B by the side of the road for sale with a belly sickle mower..... $2200. I'll pass on that one! A lot depends on timing and how motivated the seller is!

Much like you, I am into Farmalls although three years ago I bought a 1938 AC B with a belly mower. It had been restored several years before, but everything still in great shape and I paid $2,000. We are in Southern Illinois.

Aaron; In my area, southern Mo, An old Allis B in the condition you discribe would bring in the 550 to 750 dollar range. Being a '39 really dosent add or subtract anything value wise, the price is pretty much the same. A "B" in good working order is a handy little tractor indeed, good pullers for thier size and hp, along with extreme reliability make them popular with the truck farmers and unbanites who buy a few acres in the 'burbs or country transplant. I pick them up every chance I can, when the price is right that is. Farmall's too. I have 18 A-C's and 10 farmall's around the place right now. I like old tractors too.

well the tractor runs and has new rear tires. Like I said it is original magneto and such. Being that it runs well, and is original condition, what would a fella pay. I am sorry for asking what would be an easy question for an allis chalmers collector, but my specialty is farmalls. I viewed the allis chalmers tractor values page and averaged out all the 'working condition' Allis Chalmers B's. I came to $550 for such a tractor. Is this on track? thanks

Depends on where you are, and if you're in the right place at the right time. Where I live that tractor would not go for less than $1000 at a sale, but then they're a little high around here. Of course good deals can be found.
