B Pick-Up Plows

These 2-way mounted pick-up plows on my '42 B are made by WIARD Plow Company, Batavia, NY. Dad got those with the tractor in 1943. It seems that plows made by AC are quite common but I have not noticed others like the WIARDs . The WIARDs mount differently to the tractor than the ACs, as you can see, using the standard drawbar mounted in the forward position. What little research I have done indicates that WIARD Plow Co was best known for horse-drawn plows dating back to before 1900. They went out of business circa 1950. I have been told that there were several different manufacturers of plows for the B during the war years...in addition to AC. I am curious to know if anyone has seen other B plows like these or has any information at all on them. Presumably they would fit up nicely to a C as well.

My B originally came with steel wheels, hence the extended fenders. I have been advised that the taller air cleaner stack shown is also a feature that is indicative of steel wheels. I am puzzled as to why the taller stack would have been provided for a B on steel. Anyone have any clues?

Thanks for the response. Yes, those are front wishbone and engine side weights. I haven't used the plows in over 25 years but thought I would mount 'em up for old times sake and for the photo op to see if anyone else knew anything about them. The fenders are original AC. They appear to be just extension pieces that are spot welded to the "regular" fenders. You can even make out the spot welds in the photo. The cap on the air cleaner is not AC but the cleaner itself and the stack is original stock.
