Looking for a good frontend loader for my first Allis D17. What loaders other than Allis will fit my tractor?

New Idea sold loaders than fit D17's. It think the model # might have been 500.
Currently Westendorf sells the TA26 with D17 mounts, but it has a hydraulic dump bucket,so it needs 2 double acting hyd circuits which D17's did not have until Series 4. If yours is an earlier D17, you need a trip bucket type loader, like the AC or NewIdea. There is a used equipment dealer in Pomeroy IA that has a lot of this type of thing, you could try him at 712 468 2522 between 7-9 AM Central

I am not positive about interchanges, but I have a trip loader for my narrow front W-D to get rid of. It has 1 new cylinder. $250 & I'll get in on your trailer for you.

It seems that I can start out with my tractors in great running condition but sometime during the long cold dark winter they quickly revert to the lawn-art category. The lack of running, cold weather, and admitted neglect all take their toll on a machine. If you are lucky enough to not need your tractors during the winter months you can perform a few simple maintenance items to winterize and come spring have them going by reversing the process. If you need your tractor in ready-to-run condition (like that ... [Read Article]
