I have 2 HD11B Allis Chalmers dozers. Need engine rebuild or to Repower them using some other type of engine.

Anyone know what other engine will bolt up to the bellhousing or can be modified easily?

They originally had a 6 cylinder 516 cid Buda (AC) diesel engine in them. These are mid/early 50's vintage.

I can rebuild at least one of them mixing and matching parts making 1 good engine, but not enough stuff for the other without spending a ton of $$$$$$

Before AC bought Buda, the HD-11s were HD-9s and powered by 4-71 Detroit Diesels. You should be able to repower in that direction. Try posting on the crawler board here or the AC board at I B DOZING at http://www.ibdozing.com/

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac. ... [Read Article]
