Presuming you will install new ones, I have used a long chisel or modified screwdriver to reach down in the hole ( iron head, not copper sleeve) and carefully split the washer in one spot and fished it out with a dentist's type pick. On those with copper sleeves, a lot of patience, a good tough dentist's pick, some time, and some penetrating oil usually loosens them up. Rare instances, I have reinstalled the injector and run the engine with the injector slightly loose to try to loosen the washers. You may have to start the engine and then loosen the injector after it is running, if possible. Just another argument for the anti seize I use on replacement injectors. Thanks for the reply Greg, I took an old screwdriver, heated the end cherry red and bent the tip 90 then sharpened it with a file. I could fish that down in the hole and feel the washer and get underneath it and pop it out. some of them I had to use a pry bar under the screwdriver handle for extra leverage. got the new injectors in and it runs great, before it used to smoke pretty bad.

Just ran by your post and read where changing injectors made your 190 smoke less. I have one that has gotten hard to start and smokes blue smoke, but does'nt use any oil.Just wondering if yours was also hard to start. Maybe my problem. Thanks for any info.ken
