Which sizes and what brand of combine wheels will fit on a WD. I am looking to replace rear wheels for a reasonable price and combine wheels are a dime a dozen around here.

Just about any 8 bolt combine wheels should work.. I would stay with the power slides myself, but.... I have saw a d-17 with narrow front and combine wheels (and from my research, neither were stock, as all literature I read shows that all d 17's had wide front and power slides)

I believe that wheels off a JD 40 or 45 combine will bolt right on to a WD45 or D17.

Yup- I have a set from 45, same bolt pattern, but the wheels are 26 inch diameter. It works, but why mess up a nice tractor with wrong parts? I just kept the wheels in case I wanted to put front duals on my MFWD 4450.

Why switch from power-shift wheels? Most combine wheels are 26" diameter, WD had 11,12, by 28. Why go to a dish wheel? If you really need to, you can determine what will fit by using a tape measure.

Some older IH combines had 8 bolt hubs and some New Idea pickers had them.(26") I had a set from an IH on mine but I don't remember the model. I also had a different set I bought on an auction that I painted and put on but I have no Idea what they came off of. I have a post farther down about them. I am trying to sell them. Hope this helps.
