I need the gas gauge that fits into the tank of a D17.

Called two local dealers and they quoted me $80 dollars. Now I love AC but they are getting as bad as JD! Maybe I should just buy parts tractors and make a boneyard out of my farm.

Anybody know where I can get a used one for twenty bucks??

Thanks in advance,

don't know about the price but you might check with Austin's at Butler, Mo. they salvage AC tractors. Let the phone ring, they don't have a recptionist.

Fargo,

The only problem with that is if you purchase a used one for $20 bucks, there's no guarantee that it's not any better than what you have. That's $20 wasted toward the new one. It's a chance you take with used parts. It may even work for a week, then die. Now you have two junk gauges...
Sometimes ya just have to pay the fiddler to hear the song.....I know where yer' coming from, but, what can ya do? Hope you can find one reasonable.... Steve B.

Perhaps farming tractor parts would be more profitable than crops. There's a guy in VA that did that. Field full of all kinds of junk tractors. He keeps cows in the pasture too to keep the weeds down. When your searching for parts watch for the patties.
