i am in the process of rebuilding a c engine.
which pistons are best casr iron or cast aluminum

Jon,
Today's cast aluminum replacement piston's I think are just as good or better than the old style cast iron piston's. Obviously, they are a lot lighter, (which makes it easier on the rotating mass,) and with today's type of forging, they are just as strong. As far as the usage in your C motor, there's no big time rpm's that the engine will be running at so you shouldn't have any problems if you decide to use them. When I did my B motor over (same CE motor) cast aluminum pistons came with the new liner kits. So far the engine runs fine and is quiet as a mouse. It's just the "new" replacing the "old"..... Steve
