My stuck 51B has 3 pistons free but fourth is still tight and I'm three weeks into waiting for Mystery oil to dribble past the rings on to the floor. Can't tap on the piston because its at TDC and crank is thus vertical below it. Crank handle doesn't move it. Any ideas, other than more patience? Thank you.

Or try turning the motor with the hand crank, sounds like it might be almost loose anyhow.

"Can't tap on the piston because its at TDC and crank is thus vertical below it." How do you know the others are free? Why not remove cap turn crank out of the way? Did I miss something in an eariler post?

I have had good luck with a product you can get from radio shack or an electronics place. It's called circuit cooler and comes in a small can with a sprayer on top to troubleshoot circuits, what it is , is freon and you take two cans and aim it at the piston only and proceed to chill it to shrink it. It will turn all frosty white, wait till the whiteness goes away and take a piece of wood to tap and jar it or pry thru the starter hole on the teeth of the flywheel to get it to go one way or the other or both? , just a little movement will take you to where you want to go....freedom Hth Mike

I had a B which had water on top the piston when I took the head off. It was rusted a bit. I oiled it up, let it sit for a while, then put the thing in 3rd gear and rocked the tractor by grabbing the tire treads. It finally broke loose.

This will work if I take the time to keep oiling the cylinders. 3 of the pistons move a touch from side to side if I tap them, and oil seeps down the sides into the sump overnight, so I presume they're free or very nearly so. I am happy to take this slowly as I haver another B torn down that needs parts, but is all there and the engine is free. Thanks for your ideas.
