I have a D15 that when i let off the clutch it starts a loud screeming. It dosen't matter whether its in gear or not, but when it's not in gear, it starts jerking like it's trying to engage. The noise stops with the clutch in. All the noise is in the rear axle area. Is this a bearing or worse?

First guess is the throwout bearing. If the noise stops with the clutch pushed in, it can't come from the rear end, because nothing back there is turning. Isn't there a pop off cover under the clutch housing? check for metal filings, etc. there.

Sounds to me from your discription that you have a bearing going out in the transmission. I belive if it was the throw out bearing it would not jerk when in neutral. I'd find out what the problem is and get it fixed, running it like this will cause serious damage!
