Been trying to get to the end of the roll of film so I can have it developed. I am over in the chat room or will be soon. Dick L. there is definitely a hydraulic pump on this tractor it fits beneath the transmission much like a belly pump on a farmall. The place where the rear PTO would be is covered by a plate. Looks factory. The number behind the (or in front, depending on your perspective) gear shift lever is 200**3. Definitely six digits and no letters. Above the cast in number is a tag but the only thing that is even remotely recognizable would be an AC or an AK. Three groups of two letters.

the serial number of the small tractors is by the shift lever. i dont think this is what you have. you probably need to look on the rear axle, either on top of the center pumpkin, or by the left brake cover. sounds like a WC- WD series.

Maybe Steve, but I think we ruled this out. The only casting numbers on the rear end are on the axle housings. I am sure these are part numbers.
Of the "Pitchers" you sent the most similar is the B. Perhaps this pump arrangement is an add on of the homemade variety. The axle housings were originally cast with a bracket top and bottom near the wheel but they have been torched. The wheels are definitely 26 inch. One tire is indeed 13.6. The other is a 14.9.

26" tires were used on early WCs too

Don't feel bad about being stumped. I am here pooring over the tractor and can't make sense of it. I am sure if you could see it you would have it cold. Daughter has a soccer game today so will investigate further on my way "back to the ranch". Don't think it is a D but will check the area you mentioned for any kind of a number.

Lots of luck. I have a D-14, and still not sure what year it is. All I know is somewhere from '57 to '60.

Ya gots me hangin, I will wait for a picture.
A CA has the A inside the C on the final drives but the hydraulic pump under the transmissinon has me scratchin my head. The CA has the snap coupler stuff under there. Never saw one with a hydraulic pump though, but I aint seen it all don'tch know. I just disassembled a combo tractor with parts from the CA, C, and other makes of tractors that I aint gots figured out. Amazin what some people can do with a welder and some old tractor parts they find layin around. This one had a 12V motor attached to a hydraulic pump and hooked up to some cylinders to make a three point that was as heavy as any of the tools they might have wanted ta use it on.

Someone isn't confusing the PTO under a AC WC,WD, etc with a hydraulic pump?

Thanks Dick. Tom, The hydraulic pump under the "center" of the tractor has to get it's power from some where so if it is not electric there would have to be a "power take off" mid ship. Update at eleven!
