I would like to be able to change off from the narrow 7" rear tires on my "G" to a 12" tire...It looks like I could use a 28" rim and make, mounts that would match up to the stock wheels.....do you know of a 28 or 30" rim that will handle a 12" tire? I would rather have 28's..... .Thanks for your help Don.....

Ford N series uses a 28 inch rim,it bolts onto the wheel with a few bolts around the outer rim,, maybe that will help,, But I personally think you will have nothing but trouble putting those big tires on that lil tractor,,,,Jim

MillerTire.com has 11 or 12 inch rims 28 inch diam for less than $100.each. I see that the stock 30 inch with 7 inch wide would be something like 28 inch diameter 12 inch wide. problem is the tires will weigh three times as much. if you want the looks, o.k. if you want the pull, forget it. you dont have the HP, weight, or axle strength.

I also have a "G" that i really like. I asume you know if you put that wide/tall tires on a "G" you will have to buy some extra axles for it too, as that's the weak link in the drive line. Guys that pull hard with the "G"'s with stock rubber have all ready found this out. Robert

I think you could put a wider tire on the stock rims. If you musthave even wider tires stick with the same rim diameter. A larger tire will be a bigger overall diameter anyway. You don't want to raise the back of the tractor to much. If you go too much larger in diameter it will also seem like you have less power as it takes more power to turn a larger diameter wheel.

I know about large tire will stand taller.....the tractor now has 30" rims....Looks like I could use 28" rims..... no way could I put 12" wide tires on the stock rims for 7" tires...What I am asking is there a 28 or 30" plane steel rim that I can adapt to the G ....I would like to buy a set of used tires and rims.....

Well if you are going to go with smaller diameter rims I can see this might work. Try Miller tire, they have plain rims you can weld to. I think they are listed here somewhere if you look. Maybe search on Miller Tire or someone will know their e mail address.
