hi out there...been readin' the discussion board for a few weeks now and really enjoying the "chat".

we just bought a nice model c with belly mower, plow and a set of cultivators that the previous owner says he "thinks there's some pieces missin'

the two front-mount assemblies are "in the pile", and the long, rear bar assembly is there, but i don't have a clue has to whether it's all there for mounting.

is there more to the mount? does the front mount for the plow have anything to do with mounting the cultivators? anyone out there got a picture of a set that's mounted? at the moment, i can't even visualize what the whole thing looks like!!

we're in southwest michigan, just moved "back home" from houston, and have about 10 acres of good ground to grow a little wheat, rye, corn, vegetables, and flowers....

sure appreciate any help from anyone.

Wow!! I'm speechless as to the response I got from all of you concerning the Model C cultivators. Hope I've responded to all of you personally, but just wanted to "collectively" thank you all for your response.

We hope to become "regulars" to the chat room.

We got the little allis home on Saturday and put her to work almost as soon as she left the trailer (hope my refering to the allis as "her" and "she" doesn't bother anyone out there...It just seemed a natural thing to talk about "alice" in that context!) Nancey climbed aboard and mowed the east 2 acres (along Love Creek) in short order, then I did the "hill field", the "west 40" and the "front lot" and had a ball! This weekend, the mower comes off and the plow goes on to get the garden and the "west 40" turned over; then disced and, hopefully, get the winter wheat and rye sown...

I'll be in touch with some of you a bit later on when there's room to breath (I told some of you that, at the moment, I "commute" from Michigan to Houston!).

Again, thanks to all who wrote back. Once we "get our feet on the ground", I hope to write more.

Dave

Rather have your luck than a license to steal. I proud that there are folks who are interested in helping someone out and money is not the primary interest. Good luck with the cultivators I can get a set for a B jd for free but I would not have any idea how they mount up.

Dave, this could be your lucky day...I have just dragged a C cultivator out of the barn and put it on the junk heap to go to a recycler. The long rods are there for the mounting as well as the front gangs, the front mounting bar and several brackets..and I'm just over the pond from you in Exeter Ontario...this stuff is yours for free..come and get it before I load it up. E-mail me or call(519)-235-2045. I'm at the farm most Saturdays and Sunday mornings around noon through the week..be glad to see you have this stuff if it helps you. Also have a good C starter and a narrow front end. Mike in Exeter Ontario
