Has anyone seen or owned an Allis B hhi-crop? I have some original Allis literature that talks about this tractor and gives a picture. The same ad describes a model B "Potato Special". Any replies are appreciated. Here is the text about these two options: "For growers of potatoes and other row crops of similar characteristics and row spacings, the 'B' is available with an adjustable front axle and special rear wheels equipped with 7-28 tires. The rear wheels can be adjusted to 36-, 40-, 52-, or 56-inch treads, while the adjustable front axle provides treads of 38, 42, 52 and 56 inches. Because asparagus must be cultivated even after it has ferned out, a tractor used in asparagus cultivation must have plenty of clearance. The 'B' Asparagus Special has 28-inch clearance under the rear axle housing and 29.5 inches under the front axle at the crop row. The drive wheels are equipped with 8-38 tires and are adjustable to treads of 41, 45, 48 and 52 inches. These tractors are 'tailor made' for special crops, conditions and requirements. They make it possible for you to select the type of tractor and equipment best suited to your own needs."

I have seen an asparagus tractor (ac-B) on Ebay. It went for $4,000. It needed to be sanded and painted. ITn was pretty good though and ran good. They are rare! never even heard of a potato version. They are similiar to the farmall a and b in the appearance of the wheels to the bottom of the fram not above that incase you have not seen one.
The top looks like a regular B.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: 1951 Farmall H - by The Red (John Fritz). I have been a collector of Farmall tractors since 1990 when I first obtained part of the family farm in Eastern Indiana. My current collection includes a 1938 F20, 1945 H, 1946 H, and the recently purchased 1951 H. This article will focus on what I encountered and what I did to bring the 1951 NEAR DEATH Farmall H back to life. ... [Read Article]
