I have an early model B and was wondering if there were any known problems using sleeves, pistons, bearings and/or gaskets that suppliers sell for model B and C tractors.

I just dont want to end up in the situation were I spend a bunch of money on parts that wont work.

Does anyone know what changes AC made to the BE engine to upgrade it to a CE, other than increasing the bore and compression ratio?

Any of the kits sold for B,C,CA will work. The front seal design was changed a couple times and none of the seals sent with the kit (TISCO) would work in our early 38 model. A trip to NAPA with the measurements produced the correct seal. The shim kits for the rods and mains will not come with the kit, they can be purchased at AGCO.
