My Allis Ca loses power when put under load but otherwise runs fine. This make the tractor useless to me. Why is this happening?

i would figure on replacing the coil and see if that helps we had a m farmall that would run fine under no load but when we tried to do ANY THING it would strugle then die. We replaced the coil, plugs and cleaned out the carb and it ran better than ever.

probably fireing at top dead center. check governor weights for sticking. timing should advance with engine speed---i guess the carburetor is getting plenty gas?

We had a C like this once that was fixed by replacing the coil. It ran fine under no or light load but missed under heavy load. Evidently the spark was weak. Ran fine with new coil !
