I need information on retrofitting a Ford loader with hydraulic bucket on a 1962 D17. I looked in the archives because I saw this very topic before, but I can't seem to find it now. Someone had posted information on adding a new crankshaft pulley that drove the hydraulic pump for the bucket. They had also given information on compatible loader models.

Please post or send me any information on doing this retrofit. My dad would love to make this a winter project for his dear old D17.

Thanks,
Kevin Johnson

Check if your front pulley has tapped holes in it- you can mount an adapter there and a front mount pump in front of the steering casting- check with AC/AGCO or salvage yards for the setup. The pump drive shaft goes through where you put the crank for hand cranking.
