The parts catalog does not show a (wire) clip attaching the float needle to the float, but the needle has a groove to accommodate such a clip. Are some repair kits supplied with such a clip and where would one be available as a separate item? Thanks.

HI If you are talking about the hinge pin for the float and not the neele valve.

The groove that you are taking about snaps ( is held) into the sirport (hinge) very carefully !!!!! take pilers and sweeze it careful not to smash it. This is so that it is in the right place and helps to keep it there.

My Allis B and my 8n have the same Marvel Schriber carb. I have re-built them both, and it seems like one of the re-build kits had that clip you are talking about. I do not think I used it, but can not find it. I got the re-build kits from Napa. I will tear both of my carbs down this weekend and look in there. ( just kidding ) Ken/Wa

Clips were never used to connect float to needle.
