can anyone tell me the differences between a b and a c allis? i found one with a tricycle front and serial # 083623. it also ha a starter and delco remy ignition, but i dont know enough about ac's to tell them apart. any help would be appreciated.

There is also the possibility that it's a CA. CA has tricycle front, looks like a C, I'd have to look in my books to remember the other differences. A little higher horsepower, adjustable rear wheel width, and pan type seat on the CA pop into my mind.

The AC B is a wide front end and the C is a narrow front end. The steering arm on the C is on the outside of the tractor along the left side. The C is a two row tractor while the B is a one row tractor. That is they way mine are. I have one of each.....

thank you all for the information- from what youve said here it has to be a c. it has no decals left but its complete and straight as an arrow! only has a touch of rust on the fenders where they attach.the gas tank is off, but im sure the guy has it somewhere and one of his friends said it was running recently. imm an ih man myself, but i think this will make a nice one for the wife, heh heh. again, thank you all for clearing this up for me. yea, all B were wide front, C could be either, but if it is narrow, it is a C. C had 5 lugs holding on the rear wheel. Most B have a big center nut on a tapered shaft. Width of the C outside to outside of rear wheel is over 60 inches. the B is a foot narrower, closer to 50 inches. The steering arm on front end of the tractor on a C is under the radiator, on a B it is connected to the left wheel king pin.---last of all, the serial number is by the transmission shift lever, and starts with "B" or "C"
