my nieghbor has a 180 diesel it is leaking hyd oil out of the bottom of the right side rear end housing where the brake rod goes in. I was thinking that it might be some sort of pto seal, because I know that he bales a ton of marsh grass and he will bale it out of the creek if he has to. so it probably gets a workout. we split the tractor this past winter and put a new clutch pad and brake bands. there was no oil then in the rear ends.would I have to split the trans and the clutch? any help would be appreciated, thanks

If its coming out where the brake rod goes in its a differental seal leaking where the axle goes into it. All you need to do to fix is pull rear axle housing off and put in a new seal.
