Hi AC People, I am interested in putting a three point hitch conversion on an Allis Chalmers B with hydraulics.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has. I would also appreciate recieving info as to sources of reliable supplier of these conversion kits. If it works for you and your happy just let me know your source. Thank You, Dave

I have a '49 AC B with a 3 pt. setup I made, works pretty good. My tractor was originally sold with a corn planter, so it has two lift arms on the bar behind the seat. I've been told that only the corn planter set up has the two arms. The lift arms behind the seat lift chains that lift the arms that.... this is getting complicated. If you're interested, e-mail me & I'll send a couple of photos.

I have a 46 B w/ a C & D 3pt conversion on it. I used a 1/2" stud remover to change out the studs. The removal of the studs seems to be the biggest complaint about C & D kits. With the right tools, it is very easy. You can pick up a stud remover at NAPA, truck tire stores, Snap On, and I think Keller Tire has them also. For the money, C & D is cheaper than worksaver. I am very happy with the addition of the three point hitch on my B. It makes the tractor so much more versatile. Now I don't have to search and search for the original equipment. The main thing you have to keep in your mind is, it is still a "B", not a 190. Good luck on your mission, Roy (MD)

I have a worksaver HK-308 on my 48 B. Installs and works great. Tried to use a 3-point from C & D but had trouble trying to install the hyd. cylinder bracket under the tractor. I could not remove the studs and have spoken to others that have had the same problem. May work for you as it is a good set up and $200 less than the worksaver.

I have a worksaver 3pt hitch on my 45 Allis B.
I use a carry-all all the time. I also have a back blade, furrow and shovel plows and a scoop, it works great. When using the carry-all you'll want to add some weight to the front of the tractor to keep the front wheels firmly on the ground.
You can find out about the worksaver at worksaver.com. There are also other companies, c&d for instance. Do a search you'll find them.
