My WD45 has a fairly substantial (engine)oil leak that seems to be coming right from where the tractor would split in 2 (front to back). Any idea how much this would cost to have someone repair it (I'm not a good mechanic)? While it is open, is there anything else I should look for that would typically need fixing?

The leak could be from the rear oil pan seal- as Jim in Michigan says- or it could be the rear main seal, on the crankshaft, leaking into the clutch assembly, and then down onto the floor. That is an engine removal job. Then the clutch linings should be inspected- if worn 1/2 or more towards the rivet heads that hold it (compare to new linings) replace them now- very cheap fix compared to doing it by itself later.

It is probably the rear seal,, that is just a piece of cork that fits on the pan... drop the oil pan and replace the front and rear seals as well as the oil pan gasket....Its a easy job....JIm
