Hi all. I was wondering, what do you all think could be wrong with this WD-45? And, do you think that is a good price? Thanks, TractorMike

That tractor(junker?) is a money pit. "Run", (don't walk) away from it!

Depending on what part of the country you are in, a little looking around could find you a much better unit for that money. After I bought mine, I've found them all over Iniana/Illinois. Personally, I would avoid that one.

Thanks all. I would think about getting it if it were closer to me, and if the guy came down $500. Thanks, TractorMike

HI Mike

Yes I think it was on some listing not sure about ebay. Sound like allot of work. Maybe miss used.
The shifter is just a snap ring at the least and "?" at the worsest. Easy to loose that ring, have had to looking for my a time or too if I got mine stuck in gear.
Wide front yes 400.00 sounds about right.
Clutch can be forks to , "?" .
Wrong generator , does it work?, just doesn't look good.

Allot of work here and maybe allot more money , looks like a dealer to me. Should have got over it a little more to sale.

I would think about it long an hard.

E-mail me If you would like more things to think about.

Junk at more than junk price. Besides Eldon's comments- notice the green generator held in place with a wood block! Excellent care. The wide front is worth $400, the rest, less than that. Seller is trying to sucker the buyer.

This tractor was on Ebay a month or so ago. I thought it had sold....maybe the buyer backed out when he found out that you DO need the foot clutch to operate the tractor. Without the foot clutch, you would have no control over the pto, and would have to shut off the engine to change gears. The seller is misleading bidders on that. The snap coupler is missing, so I don't know what the drawbar is pulling from, but it is NOT the right place and could be dangerous. If the gear shift lever pulls out someone has been messing with the tranny.....it probably locks between gears and the previous owner left the snap ring out so he could fix it quicker when it acted up. Bottom line - it's going to take some $$$$ to get this tractor ready to work properly.

What does the seller mean by Mid PTO???
If he means the belt pully, then it is missing..

Never heard of a mid pto on an Allis tractor- guy is blowing smoke. Washers don't hold the shifter in place- a snap ring does, and the washers take up the slack. 3 pt conversion arms are there, but the tractor is a parts tractor!

I think some WD45's had a small stub shaft sticking out the front of the pto gearbox (no splines)....probably what he is talking about.

He also doesn't really show the "3 pt" that he says it has. I can see part of what looks like a top link bracket, but can't see any lift arms.
