AC manufactured Cane tractors from 1937 thru 1953, total production around 1540 cane tractors. Thomson of Thibodaux, Lousiana purchased the UC components and built them from 1953 thru 1960. I don't have production numbers on the Thomson units. This information came from" A Guide to Allis-Chalmers Farm Tractors" by Norm Swinford.

44,
According to one of the data books I have, it says in the book, that AC did make all UC models for cane starting in 1944. 1945-46, there wasn't any built, then in 47'started building them again, to 1953 which ended in serial #6217. I didn't see anything listed as "high crop" unless that's what they called the "Cane Unit" from the standard unit. Hope this helps a little. It is pretty interesting though... Steve
