Hi, I have been looking at an old Allis that I would like to obtain. There is some confusion as to its exact type. The owner thinks its a WD45 but I think its a WD. On the back of the tractor just to the left of the differential cover is stamped WD61892, is it a 1951? I didnt see a number like this in the serial # lists or is the WD left off because its on them all? On the right side off the engine was U3019-31, on what looks like the hyd pump is AM 36A4-6BL and on the lower left side of the trans? is 2AM-3851-11. If anyone has any relevant info please let me know what you think. The old tractor is in very restorable condition and I plan to get it soon but would like to know definitely which it is. Thanks Peter

By serial number is is a 1950. Should have the straight shift lever. All WD45s had the curved shift, some '53 WDs had them also. Any straight shifter is a WD. Also, right side of engine will have a removeable panel bolted on the block, the WD45 block is solid, no panel.
