i have a CA here that gallops on the governor. I was suspicious of the spring on the throttle rod between the carb and governor. It is anchored between the throttle rod and generator bracket. I have a parts book here and it just shows the spring going straight up from the throttle rod and does not show where it anchors to at the top. Out of curiosity i checked with an Agco dealer to see if it was available and it was so i ordered it. Sure enough it matched the picture in the parts book and is smaller than what is on the tractor now. What i need to know is where does it anchor to opposite the throttle rod.

I have a picture blown up and framed in my "tractor room" of a Farmall M. It was my Grandpa's tractor, of which whom I never got to meet. He froze to death getting this tractor out of the barn to pull a truck out of the ditch before I was born. Anyway my dad and aunt had to sell it at the auction, ... [Read Article]
