I am painting a D-14 for a guy and was wondering if any of you had a PPG paint code number for the correct color orange it should be painted. Is it persian orange? Never painted a Allis before and would appreciate the help- Thanks a ton!

It should be painted what we call persian #1. PPGs color is DAR60080 for Delstar enamel. They also have 60080 in the Omni line but the color closer to number 2. If your customer wants it to be correct you will need to determine the year so you get the grill color right also. Some were black, some silver and some orange I believe too. There should be no cream color on a '14, The more red #2 orange with cream wheels and grills started with the D-15 which replaced the '14

Travis:If I am not mistaken tractors prior to 1959 were painted Persion Orange No.1 and tractors after that were Persion Orange No.2. Most automotive paint dealers will be familiar with the difference. If you have access to Terry Dean"s data book it will go into more detail about hood transfers, wheel colors, grills, etc. hope this helps.

The Dupont/Dulux code book gives #2 Persian Orange 29047. They list this for D10,11,12,15,17,19,& 21. D14 is not listed, but this is the paint color I would use. They list cross over numbers for PPG and Martin Senour, also.
