I have one of the back hydraulic cylinders missing. I also have a really bad leak under the seat area. Could they be one and the same? I have trying to get it running and have not gotten underneath it yet. Hope to tomorrow.

Thanks
Mike

Mike, The lever under the seat is the PTO engagement lever. That would cause the gears to grind unless you waited until it stopped spinning. If you are missing the cylinder and no body pluged the outlet it would probally leak with the PTO engaged as it must be engaged in order for the hydralics to work. Better check your oil levels if its been leaking very much. Get a manual and be careful if you have never been around tractors. You have to make safety happen, it doesn't happen by itself! Dale

Dale,
Thanks for the info. I have realized this is a machine and safety is a concern. You are right about the grinding noise, I figured it out finally. Checking on the other cylinder connection. It must be plugged because I have not seen a stream shoot out, however, have not see hydraulics work either. Still having charging system problems. When fixed there, then on to the leaks.

Thanks again,
Mike
