I have read alot about "B's" missing under load.
I am having the same problem (more common than I thought) except my "B" also pops back through the carb. Is this happening with the other "B's" I have been reading about or is this something different? I am new to the discussion board. I have found lots of useful subjects. My thanks to everyone.

Tom, Sounds like a timing problem! My "Bs" don't miss under load. They may have an occasional poof while at idle but not while working. Go by Carquest or NAPA and get an adapter that goes on a spark plug that is suppose to keep it from fouling. Don't know the proper name. Pull the plugs on your "B" and place the adapter in the #1 plug hole with a small balloon on it. Turn the engine over untill the balloon starts to fill with air. You will then be coming up on compression stroke. Look through the inspection port for the "Fire" mark. Then set the mag or distributor in time. Use Autolite plugs and you should be good to go! HTH, Dale
